Need to know the latest campus news? How about an update on international affairs? Looking for a website halfway across the state? Plenty of people on campus are ready and waiting to point
you in the right direction. Campus Building Search Type-in a building name or address, a department name, item or zip code to find the location on campus. There are also links to maps with detailed directions Campus Information Centers The CICs are staffed by knowledgeable, friendly people
who provide information about the University and the
surrounding community. The Centers are located on the
first floor of the Michigan Union and in Pierpont Commons
on North Campus. Community Assistance Directory This online directory is designed to help area residents
find information about state outreach programs and
services provided by the University. Produced by
the Office of
the Vice President for Government Relations, it can
easily be searched or browsed. Diversity Matters at Michigan The Diversity Matters at Michigan website is a portal to the scores of curricular and extra-curricular programs and initiatives, individuals and groups, and other resources available to advance and sustain a welcoming and diverse community. Electronic Events Calendar Whether it's happening today, tomorrow or this weekend,
the online Events Calendar tells you what's happening
on campus. The electronic calendar is operated by the
Campus Information Centers. The Michigan Daily The award-winning Daily is published weekdays through
the fall and winter terms and weekly throughout the
summer by University students. It cover campus life,
including student government, athletics, entertainment and
the University administration. It is free and can
be found on news stands on campus and throughout downtown
Ann Arbor. Michigan Information Transfer Source MITS is a fee-based information service of the University
Library for businesses, industry and individuals
not affiliated with the University. Online database
searches, library research, photo copies of articles and
library book loans are all available through MITS.
Research areas include business, medicine, science, engineering,
and most other disciplines. Michigan Radio Michigan Radio provides award-winning news coverage and commentary as well as programming from National Public Radio, Public Radio International, American Public Media, and the BBC. Local highlights include The Environment Report, Jack Lessenberry’s Essays and Interviews, and call-in programs surrounding important current events in Michigan. Michigan Radio can be found on WUOM 91.7 FM in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area, WFUM 91.1 FM in Flint, and WVGR 104.1 FM in West Michigan. Michigan Today Michigan Today provides news of faculty, students and alumni,
as well as articles about University history
and traditions, campus research, cultural events
and athletics. Published three times a year, it is available
free to alumni, Michigan high school libraries, public
and elected officials, and those interested in being
placed on its mailing list. News Services NS is the University's media relations office. Information
officers communicate to internal and external audiences
information about campus programs, research, and
activities of faculty and staff, primarily through
the news media; and to respond to media requests for information
about the University. Copies of news releases can
be found online. M Library Databases, Catalogs, Online Journals, Research Guides
- these are just a few of the collections within
the University's vast system of libraries. Books, magazines, newspapers,
microfilms, photographs and videos are available
through one of the largest academic libraries in the nation.
An online catalog is available at mirlyn.web.lib.umich.e U-M Gateway Enter the virtual world of the University through its
home page. Here you will find links to every part of
campus, as the Gateway provides a point of entry to the
University's officially recognized information resources.
Links include admissions materials, medical resources,
academic offerings, sports updates and visitor information. The University Record The Record is the weekly campus newspaper for faculty
and stuff. It is distributed free on campus and is
available online. It carries articles about University
news, campus activities and research achievements, as well as
