Madeline Nykaza

Madeline leads on issues related to higher education including, but not limited to, federal financial aid, campus safety, immigration, tax and business issues, human resources, STEM education, arts and humanities, in addition to the federal budget and appropriations process and managing University of Michigan (U-M) funding requests, and issues related to aerospace research. In addition, Madeline directs the communications and social media for the office.

Madeline previously worked on research and technology policy at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). Prior to APLU, she served as a Legislative Assistant to former Senator Carl Levin of Michigan and as a Legislative Aide in the Michigan House of Representatives. Madeline is a Michigan native and proud alumna of U-M, where she graduated with a double major in Sociology and Spanish. She is currently pursuing an MBA from the U-M Ross School of Business.
